With the thirteenth volume due out this fall in Japan, Kodansha is spending a bit more money to promote the series Montage than you’d expect by taking the original manga artwork, in color, and animating it with dialogue pieces to draw you in more. The series kicked off in 2010 in the weekly Young Magazine as one of its seinen titles from Jun Watanabe. Watanabe’s prior work to this was the sports comedy series RRR which ran for ten volumes between 2007 and 2009.
Plot concept: In a story that moves through different time periods, mostly between 1968 and the present day, two teenagers (cousins) in the present day are learning the truth about the deaths of their parents, which appear to be tied to a murderer who has been a fugitive for over 40 years…
