As we saw with Evangelion 2.22, the Hong Kong release is matching up closely to the Taiwanese release as HK distributor NeoVision has announced their release of Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo on DVD and Blu-ray. No firm date is given in the initial solicitation for it, but the company indicates that it will be by the end of August, which fits with how releases are done there in that announcement is followed by release usually within a month. The release looks to mirror the Evangelion 2.22 release in that it will be Region A and it will have English subtitles.
Plot concept: 14 years after third impact, Ikari Shinji awakens to a world he does not remember. He hasn’t aged. Much of Earth is laid in ruins, Nerv has been dismantled, and people who he once protected have turned against him. Befriending the enigmatic Nagisa Kaworu, Shinji continues the fight against the angels and realizes the fighting is far from over, even when it could be against his former allies. The characters’ struggles continue amidst the battles against the angels and each other, spiraling down to what could inevitably be the end of the world.
