Aikatsu
As the first series of fifty episodes wraps up in the next few weeks for the Sunrise animated series Aikatsu, Lantis has announced that a second series will be following it this coming October. The series, one of the few that didn’t get a simulcast run, has gotten some good discussion in the forum here on a weekly basis. The new series brings everyone back for more but also involves a new idol school that has risen in prominence which will give the main characters here a bit of a new challenge to deal with. Check out the extended promo for it below from Lantis which highlights the music since it does come from Lantis.
Plot concept: Ichigo Hoshimiya is a regular, ordinary middle school girl. But when her best friend, Aoi, invites her to join the idol training academy, Starlight Academy, her whole world is turned upside down. As she encounters all kinds of rivals and learns what it takes to be an idol, she uses her Aikatsu Cards to challenge countless auditions.
