Reign
While The CW is working with a number of fantastical kinds of shows this season, they’re also looking to tap into the historical side as well with Reign, which now has an extended four minute promo for its fall debut. Reign is set for a fall 2013 broadcast on The CW as it deals with Mary, the Queen of Scots in 1557 France, produced by CBS Television Studios. you can see the youth skewing attempt at it here, but there are more than enough ripe areas to work with when it comes to the characters and time period to potentially make it exciting.
The series is slated for Thursdays this fall at 9pm following The Vampire Diaries.
- Adelaide Kane as Mary, Queen of Scots
- Toby Regbo as Prince Francis (later King Francis II of France), Mary’s husband
- Torrance Coombs as Sebastian (Bash)
- Megan Follows as Catherine de’ Medici, Mary’s mother-in-law and wife of Henry II of France.
- Alan Van Sprang as King Henry II of France, Mary’s father-in-law.
- Rossif Sutherland as Nostradamus
