The third installment of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica theatrical series is getting closer as it’s set to be in theaters in Japan on October 26th. The official teaser site for the installment has updated with some new material that will get people intrigued by what’s to come. While we have a new roadshow poster for the feature, we also get some artwork for a new character that debuts in the film. The new character of Nagisa Momoe is set to be played by Kana Asumi in the film.
The official website for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise updated on Tuesday with a second piece of key visual art for the third film, and it also unveiled a new magical girl character. Kana Asumi (Nyarko in Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos, Popura in Working!!/Wagnaria!!, among many other roles) voices Nagisa Momoe, a magical girl with a child-like appearance. The website teases that nothing is known about what she wished for to become a magical girl, nor why she appears in the third film’s storyline.
Plot Concept: Madoka Kaname. Once a normal girl who led a happy life, she sacrificed herself to save other magical girls from the cruel fate that awaited them. Unable to let her memories of Madoka die, magical girl Homura Akemi continues to fight alone in the world that Madoka left behind, dreaming of meeting that nostalgic smiling face one more time…
