While we’re hearing stronger confirmations that the upcoming film will involve the Dinobots, things certainly come across as even more certain with the reveal of the new Transformers film name. The fourth installment of the series, which released the teaser poster below, is now officially titled Transformers: Age of Extinction. Which will cause a few people to continually miswrite it in the next year or so with Age of Ultron.
Bringing the Dinobots into the film series will certainly be a positive for the long time fans of the toys and show as they’ve always had a strong following. And there are plenty of ways to easily establish them within the context of the film world as well. Whether they can pull off a live action look for it remains to be seen, but it’ll certainly be a curiosity point for many that will draw people in. And that won’t be hard as even though there are plenty of detractors for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the film still made $1.1 billion just in theatrical receipts.
The Michael Bay directed film stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles and Bingbing Li and is ste for release on June 27th, 2014.
