The 2014 film The Secret Service, which is adapting the comic work by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons over at Fox, has added a new cast member this week. Matthew Vaughn is directing and the news has hit that Taylor Swift has joined the cast. The singer has been in several movies so far in smaller roles, such as Valentine’s Day and The Lorax, but also a few TV roles here and there as well. With The Secret Service, it’s actually likely that her role is something that’ll be very easy to play as part of the original comic story involves famous celebrities being kidnapped, making her someone that could be essentially a fun little cameo role in an otherwise darker movie. It’s been previously reported that a few others such as David Bechkam, Adele and Elton John have been approached to take part in the film in this kind of role.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, it stars Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and Samuel L. Jackson and is scheduled for a November 14, 2014 release.
