Hurricane Polymar
While Discotek Media grabbed the 1996 OVA remake, Anime Sols is now streaming the first episode of Hurricane Polymar and has set up the crowdsource funding to try and bring out the entire series on DVD for North American fans. The project for this series, which brings the twenty-six episode original run from 1974, will run through ebruary 28th and cost $29,000 total. The minimum backing to get the DVD set is $60, which is pretty much what you’d expect for a show of this age and that it’s an entire collection.
Plot Concept: Straight out of tokyo plus, a high-Tech research center, arrivesa new innovation of “MAN-MACHINE” system, polymar, developed by the late dr. Oregar. Tragically, dr. Oregar and his efforts are dematerialized as the catsharks, loyal subjects of nova, steal this new technology for their own devious plans.
