Kill La Kill
Madman Entertainment is getting in early on their fall season pickups this season as some others are and they’ve announced the acquisition of Kill LA Kill. The Aniplex of America series will be premiering 3rd October on the Madman Screening Room.
Kill La Kill is a first for Madman Entertainment’s Screening Room streaming service in that it will stream online and in simulcast, day and date, with the Japanese TV broadcast on 3rd October, 2013. The company will also be handling home video and further digital formats in 2014 for it.
“We are thrilled to be working with Aniplex to bring this series to Australian and New Zealand fans within hours of its Japanese debut. Madman is very focused on giving local fans what they want, which is resoundingly the hottest content as soon as possible. This represents a new milestone for Japanese animation in our part of the world,” said Tim Anderson, Managing Director, Madman Entertainment.
Plot concept: Ryuko Matoi wanders the land armed with a single red Scissor Blade and a single objective, to find and exact vengeance upon the one who wields the matching blade… her father’s killer. When she arrives at Honnoji Academy, a high school living in fear of its belligerent student council rulers, Ryuko stands against them in an effort to liberate school their iron grip and find out the truth behind her father’s murder.
