There hasn’t been too much coming out on the series Noragami, which debuts on January 5th, 2014, but now a second promotional video has surfaced with a good chunk of the opening song by Hello Sleepwalkers working through it, which definitely gives it some energy. The Bones animated series is adapated from the manga of the same name by Toki Adachi. After doing the artwork on the series for Alive: Final Evolution, Toka Adachi has been doing an original work of their own since the 2010 release of Noragami. Toka Adachi is actually a pair of female creators that have combined their names to make this particular pairing work, which is something that tends to be missed but is an interesting aspect of it. Noragami has had its seventh volume of the manga released earlier this year and it contained a wraparound on it that indicated that the series will be getting an anime adaptation by Bones for January 2014. Kotaro Tamura is directing the series based off of scripts by Deko Akao.

Plot concept: Yato is a minor god whose dream is to have a lot of followers worshiping him and praying to him. Unfortunately, his dream is far from coming true since he doesn’t even have a single shrine dedicated to him. To make things worse, the only partner he had to help him solve people’s problems, had just quit the job.
His godly existence and luck just might change when he stumbles upon Iki Hiyori and saves her life; a feat which also leaves her in quite a predicament so she is stuck with him until her problem gets resolved. Together with Hiyori and his new partner-weapon Yukine, Yato will do everything he can to gain fame, recognition and just maybe, one shrine dedicated to him, as well.
