We talked a bit about the summer compilation film Short Peace before, a production that unfortunately didn’t generate too much interest among fans overall since it was hard to see being in theaters only and mainly short stories. But we we get closer to its home video release in January, Shochiku has put out a new nearly five minute promo for it that shows off a lot more of the various stories that makes it look like a heck of a lot of fun. The work is a bit noteworthy if only for the fact that it has the first directorial work in a short by Katsuhiro Otomo since Steamboy. The feature, which clocks in at 168 minutes with a vraiety of shorts to it, is set for release on January 16th, 2014 with a few different editions out there.
The release has several extras to it as it will include director interviews, storyboards, still images, galleries and event footage from the stage greeting that was done ahead of one of the premieres as well as more.
