Marvel Studios has finally given the formal nod that Vin Diesel will be taking on a role in Guardians of the Galaxy with the previously known Groot casting. It’s been an age it feels like since this first surfaced and we’ve had various levels of confirmation along the way, but this is the first time that Marvel themselves have actually confirmed it that he’ll be taking on the voice work for the character.
Gunn added via Facebook: “Yep it is completely official. AND he’s amazing. I never knew someone could say I AM GROOT so many different ways and with such feeling (and that sounds like I’m kidding but I’m not!)”
