Saki Zenkoku-hen
With the previous seasons of the series on Crunchyroll still up to view, it’s not a surprise that the company has announced plans to stream Saki: The Nationals this season. The third show in the franchise that will likely be going on for some time yet will begin its simulcast run on Sunday, January 5th at 1:30p.m. ET. The show has a big availability to it as it’s open to all audiences worldwide outside of Japan.
The show adapts the manga by Ritz Kobayashi in Young Gangan and we’ve got a new key visual that you can see to the right and expand for a bigger look. This follows the previous series and the Episode of Side-A material and the specials that were produced for it. Studio Gokumi is slated to return for this season after working on Episode of Side-A.
Plot concept: Saki – The Nationals is the third series in the mahjong-themed anime, continuing the National Tournament that was started in Saki Episode of Side A. Director Manabu Ono continues to direct the third entry, with Studio Gokumi, who also animated Saki Episode of Side A, returning as well for animation production.
