As is the case when we get close to the end of any season of anime, more new shows start getting the green light that will come to fruition later on. We’ve had a few of these in the last day or two and the latest one to get the nod is that of Daimidaler the Sound Robot, aka Kenzen Robo Daimidaler. The property is based off of the manga by Asaki Nakama which began in 2008 and ended in 2012 with four volumes total for it. It also got a sequel series from Nakama that has been running since October called Kenzen Robo Daimidaler OGS, which has a bimonthly publication schedule, so it’s not one we’ll see a lot of quickly.
The anime adaptation is slated for an April premiere with animation done by TNK and the director slated to be Tetsuya Yanagisawa. Some of the cast has already been announced as well with Koichi Madanbashi being played by Nobunaga Shimazaki while Kyoko Sonan will be played by Yoko Hikasa.
Plot concept: The series revolves around a high school boy named Kōichi Madanbashi who has Hi-ERo particles, the power source to operate the robotic weapon Daimidaler. With the help of Kyōko Sonan from the mysterious Prince Beauty Parlor organization, he stands up against the Penguin Empire that troubles humanity.
