Captain America – Homecoming
While we have until April to see the Captain America: The Winter Soldier film, we can get filled in on the time between this and The Avengers nicely enough with a new comic one shot. With the new film taking place two years after the events of The Avengers, this new one shot will be written by Fred Van Lente with artwork by Tom Grummet and will fill in some of the blanks between then as he teams up with Black Widow.
According to Van Lente, “In this story, Steve Rogers takes Natasha to the Brooklyn neighborhood where he grew up. A lot has changed there since Steve was a kid in the 1930s, but the walk down memory lane is interrupted when a terrorist strike happens while they’re there. The question of whether it happens because they were there or not is a question readers will have to wait until they read the issue to find out.”
Van Lente previously wrote the Captain America: The First Avenger movie-tie in before that film was released.
