Wonder Woman
With the announcement recently of Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, being in the upcoming Batman/Superman film, there was a lot of curiosity whether The CW would continue to try and work on the Amazon series that they’ve been percolating for awhile. At the Television Critics Assocation today, Mark Pedowitz, president of the network, kept it simply in saying that, ”We did not go forward with it.”
This marks the second attempt at getting the character to the small screen after the disastrous David E. Kelly pilot that earned the ire of many fans. While this ends the attempts at the Amazon project for now, Pedowitz did indicate that it is something they could approach again down the line.
“It all depends on the script,” Pedowitz is quoted. “We were very careful with ‘Arrow’ and we’re being very careful with ‘Flash.’ These are iconic characters so we’re going to be very careful with Wonder Woman. You only get one shot before you get bit.”
