The Flash
Another tidbit hit at the Television Critics Association confab this week with regards to The CW and their plans for The Flash. While the original plan was to spin off the character into his own show after building up some interest in Arrow, it was decided after seeing the two episodes that were produced to put The Flash into pilot mode so that it can launch fully on its own. Not that it stopped Arrow from going all out with the character in setting up his origin, which should prove interesting to see how they reconcile/connect that with his own series.
With CW president Mark Pedowitz stating that he’s quite bullish on the prospect of the project going full out, he reiterated that he felt it was the right decision to go this route, especially since the pilot will be directed by David Nutter, who also did the pilot for Arrow. And that series certainly started off with a bang. With The Flash having some of the same producers and knowing what’s worked in that series, it looks to be a solid project overall.
