With a shorter trailer for the UK than we usually get in the US, the third piece has landed for Godzilla and it definitely shakes things up in some small ways for the project. A lot of what we’ve seen has been setup for the larger themes, especially with the second trailer that focused on its origins and tying it to the 1950′s classic starting point, but this one brings us a bit more scale of destruction with what’s going on and it also plays more to the human element as we see a lot more people running in fear. It’s set to debut on May 16th, 2014 in the US.
Directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Juliette Binoche, and David Strathairn.
Plot concept: An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
