Kotoura-san

Digital Manga Publishing made the announcement via Twitter (see below) that they’ve picked up two new manga licenses with plans for the volumes to be available digitally first. The company has picked up Kotoura-san from Enokids and Aria the Scarlet Ammo from Yoshino Koyoka. Aria the Scarlet Ammo inspired an anime adaptation which has been released in North America by FUNimation. The original manga began in 2008 and is still ongoing with sixteen volumes so far. Kotoura-san also inspired an anime which got a simulcast run on Crunchyroll in 2013 but has not been picked up for further distribution yet. The manga began in 2010 and has five volumes to its name so far.

Kotoura-san: A school love comedy. Kotoura Haruka is a 15-year-old girl who can read people’s minds. She has been suffering from troubles caused by her mind-reading ability, and her parents got divorced as a result. She moves to a new high school but tries to keep away from her classmates. Manabe Yoshihisa, one of her classmates, accepts and appreciates her ability and she begins to interact with her friends with his help.

Aria the Scarlet Ammo: Kinji is a junior at a high school for mercenaries. He just wants to be normal, but his secret condition—he turns into an ace killer when he’s turned on by the female form—triggers a fiery transfer student’s unrelenting desire to make him her partner.
