Crunchyroll has announced their first simulcast acquisition of the day with the picking up of Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san, which will be getting worldwide availability upon release. The series does not have a start date or time yet for its simulcast but it will be coming through Crunchyroll. Based on the manga by Kuzushiro, the series is set for an April 4th, 2014 Japanese premiere on a few networks such as TV Saitama, tvk, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV. The recent issue of Comic Yuri Hime made the announcement which also detailed the production team and cast for the show. The series will be directed by Shinpei Nagai, who recently worked on Hiiro no Kakera and served as an episode director on Psych0-Pass at animation studio Seven. Takehiro Miura will be handling the character designs.
Plot concept: The series revolves focuses on the characters of Suzu Nekoyama, a timid, shy tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted) girl loves dogs, and Yachiyo Inugami, a super masochistic, air-headed, friendly girl who loves cats. One day, after a fateful meeting, the two find themselves attracted to each other. In response to Inugami’s instinctive approaches, Nekoyama is always bashful. Their friend Aki has to work hard to make jabs at some of the situations of the two, and also to stop Inugami from going berserk.
