Nanana's Buried Treasure

Nanana’s Buried Treasure

Ahead of its April 10th, 2014 premiere, a new commercial has landed to showcase the first episode of the A-1 Pictures series Nanana’s Buried Treasure. Over the last few months, we’ve had a bunch of web based spots for the characters and a few other pieces, but now the focus shifts to the show as a whole itself. The show is based on the light novel of the same name which had a brief 2 minute special back in 2011. The light novel was done by Kazuma Ōtorino and artist Akaringo and the new series for it and it will be directed by Kanta Kamei, who was last seen directing Oreshura.

Plot concept: The story centers around the treasure of Nanana, a ghost who was once a beautiful but NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) girl. A boy named Juugo was disowned by his father and forced to transfer to a high school on the “Special Student Zone,” an artificial island. With only 40,000 yen a month to live on, Juugo chooses a low-rent apartment that happens to be haunted by Nanana. Juugo and members of the school’s adventure club join a “treasure hunt royale” on the island for the Nanana Collection, a treasure that possesses a mysterious power.
