Soul Eater Not!
FUNimation took the weekend off from announcing new simulcasts but they’re back today with a few more. The latest one is not a surprise as they’ve picked up the rights for Soul Eater Not!. The series will debut on April 8th, 2014 at 4:40pm ET for EVS members and a week later for free members. The series adapts the spinoff manga of the same name by Atsushi Ohkubo. The production has set Masakazu Hashimoto to direct it at Bones. Hashimoto was most recently seen directing Tari Tari but has been involved in a few other things over the year as an episode director.
Plot concept: Get ready to meet the newest class at Death Weapon Meister Academy! Tsugumi Harudori and her outrageous friends make up the NOT class at this stylish school dedicated to training living, breathing weapons and uniting them with the Meisters who’ll wield them! Soul Eater fanatics will be psyched to meet these epic new characters – and catch up with all their favorites from the original series. Don’t miss a minute of the adventure as Tsugumi and her pals weave their own exciting tale of deadly life at DWMA!
