M3 – That Black Steel has a bit to go before its April 21st debut, but that just means as we dig into all the new series, we’ll be getting more teases for this one. And that means today we’ve got our first commercial for the series that clocks in at a lengthy 44 seconds, which pretty much is what you’d expect for a show of this nature and the talents involved. With the theme song by May’n being prominently placed, we get a good look at the animation and style of the show and the overall mood of it all as well.
The series is coming from Satelight and we knew that it had a pretty interesting core trio that are designing the project. Junichi Sato is directing based on the scrpits by Mari Okada and mechanical designs by Shoji Kawamori. They’re working with Hideki Inoue who is adaptating the character designs from Onigusnso’s original designs while Takatoshi Hamano is doing sound direction. Hajime Sakita is doing the soundtrack and it’s been revealed that May’n will be doing the opening theme.
The series is scheduled to debut on April 21st, 2014, as one of the later new series of the season.
