Megan Fox has a couple of big films to her credits, though there’s plenty to say about them in some ways and little in others. Having come to fame for her participation in the Transformers films and now taking on the role of April O’Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, she has a lengthy interview piece in Entertainment Weekly where she talks about that film and her participation in it. But for anime fans, the moments that will provide much fodder is that when asked if she could be involved in a third cartoon remake of her choice, she goes for Gundam Wing first and then delves into Sailor Moon.
“Gundam Wing,” responds Fox, adding she’d love to see a Jurassic Park remake in the works. “Pacific Rim was sort of a Gundam Wing situation, but they should do it. What about Thundercats?”
Or maybe, she says, Sailor Moon.“That could feasibly be made into a live action movie,” mulls Fox. “I don’t know how many Americans were into that. I was into that, but I don’t know how huge it was here.”
“That’s not actually a bad idea.”
While the number of Hollywood folks who know about anime is relatively small, there are some definite fans out there and every now and then these little nods come up, though they never really amount to anything. But they certainly set a scare among some fans at just the prospect of it.
