Attack On Titan Volume 13

It’s a good time to be an Attack on Titan fan as the manga property is doing some big numbers in Japan, riding the high of the TV series that was out last year, the live action film that’s in production and the recently announced two film compilation projects that are in the works. Now comes word that the thirteenth volume of the series, which shipped just over a week ago, has been the first of the franchise to sell more than a million copies in its opening week. According to the tracking services, the regular edition of the book sold 1.1 million copies in the first five days while the special edition, which had the OVA attached to it, sold 270,000 copies. With a large 2.75 million copy print run ordered by Kodansha ahead of the release, it marks the largest order they’ve had yet.

Property Concept: In this post-apocalytpic sci-fi story, humanity has been devastated by the bizarre, giant humanoids known as the Titans. Little is known about where they came from or why they are bent on consuming mankind. Seemingly unintelligent, they have roamed the world for years, killing everyone they see. For the past century, what’s left of man has hidden in a giant, three-walled city. People believe their 100-meter-high walls will protect them from the Titans, but the sudden appearance of an immense Titan is about to change everything.
