With announcements earlier this year that there would be a third season of the series, we got the name previous for it with Sengoku Basara: Judge End. Now we’re getting our first key visual for it as it works off of the Sengoku Basara 3 game. The series will work through the familiar Battle of Sekigahara which has been adapted into anime form many times over the years through a number of series.
Takashi Sano has signed on as the director for the series with Natsuko Takahashi working on the series composition. Yumenokai Tokuda and Kobayaashi Toshimitu will be working as the chief animation directors.
The series will be animated through Telecom Animation Film, which has an extensive list of credits to their name but also worked as the in-between animation team for Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings.
The returning cast includes:
Kazuya Nakai as Date Masamune
Souichiro Hoshi as Sanada Yukimura
Toru Ohkawa as Tokugawa Ieyasu
Tomokazu Seki as Ishida Mitsunari
The games have previously been adapted into anime form with Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings, which had two twelve episode seasons each with an additional OVA back in 2009 and 2010 as well as a feature length movie in 2011, all of which was done by Production I.G. and released in North America through FUNimation.
