Clik here to view.As promised a few weeks back when the first slate of actors were announced for Star Wars: Episode VII, more would be coming and they’ve now landed. Two new announcements have hit today that have revealed that the rumored casting of Lupita Nyong’o from 12 Years a Slave has borne out to be true, which adds a bit more Oscar caliber material to the project, as well as Gwendoline Christie, who is winning lots of fans with her portrayal as Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones.
”I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII,” says Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. “It’s thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape.”
Directed by J.J. Abrams, the film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow. It’s set to debut on December 18th, 2015.
