‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Anime Debuts New TV Spot

Tokyo GhoulWith the series set to debut on July 3rd, 2014, the latest TV spot has surfaced for Tokyo Ghoul. The new piece is light on dialogue while being more focused on the action and the music in order to set the tone for it. The show is being directed by Shuhei Morita based on the scripts by Chuji Mikasano at studio Pierrot. Kazuhiro Miwa is working as the character designer for it.

The original work had its tenth volume from Sui Ishida released recently that announced adaptation. The series will star Natsuki Hanae as Ken Kaneki, Sora Amamiya as Toka Kirishima and Hanazawa Kanaas as Rize Kamishiro. Mamoru Miyano also joined the cast as Shu Tsukiyama along with Takayuki Sugo, Sumire Morohoshi, Katsuyuki Konishi, Yuichi Nakamura, Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Shintaro Asanuma and Takahiro Sakurai as Uta. Originally starting serialization in Young Jump back in September 2011, the series has done well for a first-time creator who has no other published works to his name in the field.

Plot concept: In Japan, strange creatures that eat humans are around and they’re called “Ghoul”. A university student, Kaneki Ken, is riding a normal life and has fallen in love with a girl. But, after their first date it turns out that she’s a Ghoul. Being seriously traumatized, he got saved as the Ghoul accidentally died.

What happens when the doctors implant some of her organs to him, in order for him to survive?
