Anime Limited continues to build its approach of new and old releases to get its catalog in shape and expand its offerings. The newest pickups are definitely interesting and will certainly appeal to the UK market, especially with the approach the company is using in picking up various feature films. The latest feature film to get the nod is Narewareta Gakuen, also known as Psychic School Wars. Anime Limited intends to bring this out in the future, no date is set yet, but it will be dubbed and subtitled which is good to hear. Presumably it will be dual format as well. Additionally, the distributor has picked up a plethora of materials with the Full Metal Panic! library, which includes the original series, Fumoffu and The Second Raid. The first two series saw release in the UK previously on DVD through ADV Films UK but the the third series didn’t make it there. Anime Limited will be bringing them all out on DVD and Blu-ray in the future.
Narewareta Gakuen Plot Concept: Spring marks the start of another new school year at a junior high school in Kamakura. A new transfer student, Ryoichi Kyogoku joins the 8th grade. Kyogoku has a very special proficiency in telepathy and has been ordered by his father to use this ability to scan other people’s minds and take over the school. He instantly gains popularity at school from his good looks and charisma and he sets about taking control of the school. As people begin to fall under Kyogoku’s spell, he covertly manipulates his followers and pushes aside anyone who gets in his way. With the school almost completely under the control of Kyogoku, only one boy seems unaffected —Seki. Does Seki have what it takes to save everyone from the clutches of mind control?
