As we get closer to the end of the second season of Love Live! School Idol Project, the closer we get to the first volume being released on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan. The season has been simulcast in North America and set up for a home video release in the future from NIS America and now Lantis is showing off what the Japanese release will be like a bit via Bandai Visual when it lands this month. The series is once again going the seven volume route for it and Blu-ray only as the DVD releases will be purely for the rental market. The regular editions will be priced at 3,780 yen for the first volume and 6,480 yen for the remaining six volumes. The limited editions will be priced at 4,860 yen and 7,560 yet respectively for the first and remaining volumes. All releases will feature English language subtitles.
The thirteen episode series will have the first episode only on the first disc while remaining volumes will have two episodes each. The first volume comes with special programs, promos, commercials and the clean opening sequence. First press xtras include a new CD, and exclusive booklet and a postcard with the jacket illustration on it as well as gaming codes for various devices for the region.
NIS America has licensed the first season of the series for release in North America, which is due out later this year.
