Myself Yourself Hulu HeaderSet for release in subtitled-only form on DVD on March 4th, 2014 from Maiden Japan, the company has started to add episodes to Hulu for streaming through distribution with The Anime Network. The first episode has gone live on the service of the thirteen that it will run and it’s available for Hulu Plus members to stream directly to their TV connected app and other digital devices. As part of a multimedia push that was done as a light novel, a visual novel and a thirteen episode anime series, Myself; Yourself is a fairly straightforward but decent slice of life drama with some mild romance brought into it. Like a lot of these visual novels that tend to not go big or gain huge followings, it does a lot of things that are familiar but there are darker edges to it that gets drawn into it as the episodes go on. It introduces us to the characters and settings in standard form with a decent setup and then you start to see more and more different aspects come to light and some interesting subplots with the secondary characters that can add more to it.

Plot concept: Sana Hidaka had to say farewell to his best friends when his parents moved away from town. After five years, he moves back to Sakuranomori to finish high school while living alone in an apartment owned by his parents. Will his old friends remember who he is after all these years? There is much to learn about from the years that have passed and shocking secrets are about to be revealed. What once was can never be exactly as it was in treasured memories, but the past becomes the future as the flames of friendship rekindle in Myself; Yourself.
