With the series set to debut next weekend on April 6th, 2014, the third promotional video has arrived for Brynhildr in the Darkness, this time from committee member vap. The new piece plays up the instrumental and choral aspects of the music quite well to create a surprisingly moody piece as it progresses. We’ve had a few samples before showing off the animation for this series, but with this spot clocking in at just over ninety seconds, there’s a lot to see with new pieces of the series this time. . This series is scheduled for a thirteen episode run.

The show, produced by ARMS, comes from the man behind Elfen Lied, Lynn Okamoto, as the manga began in early 2012 and has had six volumes released so far. The anime adaptation brings Kenichi Imaizumi in as the director working off of scripts by Yukinori Kitajima while Hiroaki Karasu will be handling character designs as well as being the chief animation director.

Previously announced cast for the show included the main characters with Ryota Ohsaka taking on Ryota Murakami and Risa Taneda as Neko Kuroha. Aya Suzaki is coming on as Kana Tachiba, M.A.O. as Kazumi Schleiren-Sauer, Azusa Tadokoro as Kotori Takatori, Hiroki Touchi as Ichijuku Chisato and Tatsuhisa Suzuk as Kurofuku.

Plot concept: When he was a child, Murakami was infatuated with a girl he called Kuroneko. She insisted on knowing about aliens and having met them, but no one believed her, even young Murakami was skeptical. One day, she decides to show him the aliens, but an accident occurs and Kuroneko dies while Murakami is left seriously wounded in the hospital. Years go by and Murakami obsesses on finding proof of the existence of aliens because of a promise he had made with Kuroneko. Then, one day, a new transfer student comes to his class, who not only looks a lot like Kuroneko, but is named Kurohaneko! And even though she insists on never having met Murakami before, the girl has superhuman strength and seems to even be able to predict the future! How will Murakami’s life change now that he has been saved by this mysterious girl that claims to be a magician?
